Maybe some are new to being a "parent"/owner of animal? Some do seek advice even the pros at times to get the best advice or new "remedies" that seem to work and just want to get feedback to see if so. I have had many family pet members, my oldest is 17 and happy to say that the flea problem had only been a problem when we moved to a home that had them. Easily solved for some but I know of others that tried everything under the sun and still had infestations of it.
You are right – everyone should double check and then check again before putting anything around their family!
